Deconstruction Project

Justyna Scheuring

"I am intrigued in how a body functions in presence of other bodies and in variable tensions associated with this confrontation. This tension has an impact on the way all the bodies participate in an event."

Justyna Scheuring is a visual artist working with installation, performance, video, drawing and photography. She is specifically interested in difference evoked through carrying a different mind and physical state, as well as in the state of waiting that reveals underlying connections between bodies in the same condition. She is also interested in observing division evoked between groups of people related to different function or jobs. In accordance with this Justyna searches for ways to work with the audience as a dynamic substance in her performances or installation/performances, as well as a mode producing the meanings. She works with incommensurateness, singularity, rules and uncertainty.
